Release 4.0 Notes
Release Date: 1/10/2024
Release 4.0 brings new authentication options for SyncNow, introduces two new connectors, and adds flexibility for entities inputs during C# mapping. This update focuses on enhancing security, expanding compatibility, and increasing flexibility in data manipulation.
New Features
New Connectors
Monday
- Support Added: SyncNow now supports Monday, including boards, links, attachments, comments, calculated columns, and related board columns. This integration enhances the ability to synchronize and manage data between SyncNow and Monday.
ZenDesk
- Support Added: Integration with ZenDesk has been introduced, allowing synchronization of entities, attachments, and comments. This makes it easier to manage customer support data within SyncNow.
Sync Process Wizard
The Sync Process Wizard simplifies the setup of synchronization between work systems with an intuitive, step-by-step interface. Users can select and configure connectors, including project and field filters, define entity mappings through pre-defined templates, custom configurations, or imported files, and establish field-level mappings and entity link types. The wizard supports advanced filtering options and provides flexibility to manage sync processes efficiently. Upon completion, users are redirected to either the advanced Sync Process configuration page or the Sync Process Status page for real-time monitoring and adjustments.
Active Directory / LDAP Authentication
- Enhanced Authentication: SyncNow can now authenticate users via Active Directory and/or the internal SyncNow database. This provides a more flexible and secure authentication mechanism.
SSO – Authentication Providers
Azure Entra ID
- SSO Support: SyncNow now supports Single Sign-On (SSO) with Azure Entra ID, enhancing security and simplifying the login process for users.
Enhancement: New ‘Any’ Mapping Option
- Flexible Mapping: The new Any mapping option allows users to refer to objects received from work systems, such as users and complex entities, and manipulate their values. This provides greater flexibility in how data is handled and mapped within SyncNow.
DevOps Gate – SyncNow Auth
- Strengthened Authentication: For work systems that do not have webhook authentication, SyncNow now adds a user-related token for authentication, ensuring secure communication and data transfer.
User Auth Tokens for SyncNow DevOps Gate
- Improved Authentication Method: DevOps Gate now authenticates systems using token and OAuth rather than basic authentication. This enhances security and aligns with modern authentication standards.
Bug Fixes for v4.0
