Release 2.0 Notes

Release Date: 01/03/2021

We're thrilled to introduce SyncNow Version 2.0, packed with powerful new features and enhancements designed to elevate your integration and synchronization capabilities.

New Features

  • DevOps Gate
The DevOps Gate feature empowers enterprise organizations to enrich their target work systems using data from DevOps tools through a shared API endpoint. With DevOps Gate, you can:

    • Enrich Work Systems: Create or update entities in a target work system with information from a source system, including the ability to add attachments.
    • Add Comments to Entities: Easily add comments to entities, complete with links to resources like build URLs.
    • Link Code: Link code from one work system to entities in another, using relationships or links based on code comments. This feature seamlessly connects Azure DevOps with Jira and other work systems.
  • Bulk Sync
SyncNow introduces Bulk Sync capabilities, enabling:

    • Sync from Dates: Select specific dates to initiate synchronization.
    • Migrate and Bulk Import Sync Mapping from CSV: Easily migrate or import multiple sync mappings using CSV files, streamlining large-scale synchronization processes.
  • Export and Import Mapping with SNW File
The new export and import feature allows organizations to transfer existing mapping setups to another SyncNow deployment. This is particularly useful for:

    • Testing changes in a test environment before applying them to production.
    • Ensuring consistency across different environments and streamlining the deployment process.
  • Global Mapping and Inheritance
Designed for large enterprise organizations with complex scenarios, this feature allows you to define different synchronizations based on various work system subprojects:

    • Global Mapping: Sync process mappings can be inherited from global mappings and customized as needed by adding more entities or fields.
    • Create Global Mappings: Global mappings can be created from scratch, converted from local sync process mappings, or imported using SNW files that contain global mapping configurations.

New Connectors

  • SonarQube
SyncNow now integrates with SonarQube, allowing you to synchronize data related to code quality and metrics across your work systems.

  • Generic Connector
The new Generic Connector enables the integration and publication of information for releases/builds from Jenkins or other build systems. This versatile connector allows for flexible integration with a wide range of tools.
